Breaking News: Choking Charlie has been reported missing

Mr. Scott, BPHS health teacher, has reported Choking Charlie, the school’s main choking dummy, missing.

In a flyer released by Mr. Scott, he has stated that the doll was last seen in the third floor innovation studio, Room A311. The storage bag that belongs to him is not missing.

The doll went missing “sometime in December.” He is 45 years old, male, and is 3 feet and 6 inches. He also weighs 35 pounds and has ripped abs, no eyes, and molded blond hair. His arms and legs do not exist, but he does have a meatball attached to a string that comes from his mouth.

He was last seen wearing a Bethel Park Track and Field T-shirt. He also has a metal template that reads ‘made in 1972’.

Mr. Scott claims that this doll is the same one that he himself learned how to perform the Heimlich Maneuver on.

He expressed his concern by stating: “I just do not understand why someone would want to take Charlie and how they would get him out of the building without anyone seeing him. It is heavy and they left the carrying bag behind. Over the years people have stolen the T-shirts that we put on him. The most recent one was a Bethel Park Track and Field T-shirt.”

The same model that Choking Charlie is is estimated to cost around $600.

If you have seen this doll, please call 412 854-8550, or contact Room A328.

And to anyone who may have stolen this sacred doll, please do the right thing, and return it to its rightful owner.

Mr. Scott’s students are able to watch the Heimlich maneuver demonstration video, but no one has the opportunity to practice doing the Heimlich.

“You cannot practice on a person that is not really choking,” Mr. Scott said. “Choking Charlie is a very important tool for teaching and learning how to properly do the Heimlich maneuver.

“If you can get the meatball out, then you can easily perform the Heimlich on a real person.”

How would you feel if you were choking and nobody could help you because they weren’t taught the Heimlich maneuver?
