DECA group collects pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House
A group of DECA girls are collecting pop tabs to benefit the Ronald McDonald House for their Community Service Project. The pop tabs can be turned in to Room 120 and are accepted up until December 18.
DECA activities vary depending on which aspect that they are focusing.
The Community Service Project is a team event, and for their project, Courtney Maslanka, Samantha Schweitzer, and Paige Swindell are asking students and staff to donate pop tabs, which will be given to the Ronald McDonald House and are then traded in for cash.
“This benefits the community by getting everyone involved in helping others in various ways,” said Maslanka.
In addition to collecting pop tabs, DECA has sold donuts for the Susan G. Komen foundation in October, collected welcome bags for the Ronald McDonald House in November, and have started a toy drive for the children at Children’s Hospital.
