National Language Finals are coming up for students in BPHS

Here at BPHS, students are very fortunate to have great resources available to them when it comes to learning a foreign language. Latin, French, German, and Spanish are the languages available as you already know. After almost three nine-weeks into the school year, many teachers are starting to prepare their students for a final that is taken around the nation.

For students who took German, Latin, and French, it was already known as the test had been implemented into their plans for several years now. Students who take Spanish will be taking the final exams for the first time here at Bethel Park. Although only Spanish II and V are taking it this year, they are planning to implement more in the coming years.

As a test taker, you can expect it to be very difficult. Even though that may be unfortunate to hear, Mrs. Dalessandro, one of the Spanish teachers, said: “We as a class have been in the computer lab taking several practice exams as preparation. You can expect it to be difficult but they should be prepared to use their listening, speaking, and reading comprehension skills.”

So as the finals approach, make sure to be ready to use whatever you learned this year and maybe even more.
