The world bids farewell to the voice of Bugs Bunny

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, Voice Actor Joe Alaskey, the voice of multiple iconic characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and many other characters, lost his battle with cancer at the age of 63 at his home in Green Island, New York.

Joe Alaskey was in his late thirties when he became the successor of Mel Blanc, the original voice of Bugs Bunny and company, in 1989. Alaskey played in other roles as well, voicing Richard Nixon from Forrest Gump, Stinkie from the movie Casper, and Droopy from the cartoon Tom and Jerry, among other unique performances.
