The BPSD aims to provide a more user-friendly experience for those in the community with the transition from the Student Information Software eSchool Home Access Center to Focus.
This transition follows a thorough process involving four Student Information System vendors.
Focus was chosen for its ability to adapt to the district’s unique needs and processes.
The district was looking to prioritize a platform that would improve usability and communication amongst staff, students, and families.
Below is a guide on how to install and use the Focus Parent Portal app:
Step 1: Download the App
- Search for the BPSD Focus Community App
- The app is available on the Android and Apple stores
Step 2: Open and Log In to the App
- Parents will log in using the credentials set up previously for the portal
- This will take you to your child’s schedules
- Students will click “Sign in through Google,” followed by their full email address and password
- Upon login, you will see your child’s schedules and information
Step 3: Navigating the App
- Parent View: Similar to the student view, but with added access to all students linked to your account.
- Student View:Â Only displays your personal information and schedule.
Following these steps ensures a smooth installation and app experience for families in the district.
