Peeps, peeps, hooray!

With Easter Sunday just around the corner, shops and stores from all over are filling their shelves with tasty treats of all sorts. One of the more popular of these are Peeps, a colorful, sugar-coated marshmallow that often comes in the form of rabbits and chicks. How many different kinds of peeps are there, though? Additionally, can these nonpareil puff pastries be used as an aspect of a meal? The answer to these questions, and more, are as follows…

Most people are aware of the rabbit and chick Peeps, yes, but not many know about the other copacetic kinds. That being mentioned, here is a compiled list of both perfect and peculiar Peep flavors: Regular, Sour Watermelon, Sour Cherry, Orange Cream, Party Cake, Pancakes & Syrup, Blue Raspberry, Fruit Punch, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Sweet Lemonade, Mystery, Lemon Delight, and many, many more.

In addition to the previously mentioned selection, there are also various holiday-themed Peep treats. Around wintertime, there are Christmas tree, reindeer, gingerbread, and snowman Peeps.

For Halloween, one can find a series of ghost, cat, and pumpkin Peeps. For Valentine’s Day, there are white, red, and pastel pink colored Peep hearts.

Can Peeps be a part of a meal, though? According to some consumers, they can. For example, Peeps Pizza, or “Peepza,” has become a springtime trend in recent years. Peep Pancakes are also now a new breakfast alternative. According to marshmallowpeeps.com, Peeps Coconut Macaroon Brownies are another Peep-tastic option.
