Meet Wednesday Addams
Wednesday Addams is the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams and the sister of Puglsey Addams, who she has a love-hate relationship with. She is the love interest of Lucas Benieke. Wednesday is a dark, sarcastic character who is not afraid to make her voice heard. She shares her father’s big heart and her mother’s wit.
She will be played by senior Elizabeth Robinson and junior Meghan DeHaven.
Robinson said: “I am so excited to put on this show because this musical is wickedly funny and the songs are so captivating. Portraying Wednesday will be such a fun experience for me and I can’t wait to play such a fun and unique character.”
She is a senior and has previously been in two shows, “Guys and Dolls” her freshman year and “Cinderella” her junior year. She was in the ensemble for both of those shows.
“Ensemble was really fun and a great experience and I made really great memories performing,” Robinson said.
Along with doing musicals, Robinson is a Majorette in the marching band and a member of Top 21.
“I remember seeing this show at West Allegheny High School when I was in middle school and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to play Wednesday because I love to sing and she has many amazing songs, such as Pulled and Crazier Than You, that I can’t wait to sing,” DeHaven said.
DeHaven is a junior and has done two musicals at BPHS. Her freshman year she played Marcy Park in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” and in her sophomore year she played Charlotte in “Cinderella.”
When asked about her experience in past shows, DeHaven said: “I can’t imagine a world where I haven’t done the BPHS musicals. Every show that I have done here has been special to me as I have made spectacular memories and life-long friends.”
DeHaven also performed in her first fall play this year where she played Donna in “The Last Christmas Radio Show,” a show written by Mrs. Cortney Williams.
While juggling plays and musicals, DeHaven is a Bethette squad leader in the marching band and a member of Top 21.
Both Robinson and DeHaven are ecstatic to play Wednesday Addams in the spring.
