Meet Lurch

Lurch is the extremely tall butler of The Addams Family. He only speaks in moans and groans and moves slowly.

He will be played by senior Keegan Brusoski and junior Nathan Tietz.

Tietz said: “I really like this show. It is very funny and enjoyable to watch. I’m very excited to play Lurch because of the funny character he is.”

Previously, Tietz has not performed in a BPHS show, but he has performed in shows at IMS.

Tietz is on the BPHS football team and a member of Top 21 and Jazz Ensemble.

When asked about his thoughts on getting to play Lurch, Brusoksi said, “To me, Lurch is just funny because of the lack of there being a joke actually said and it’s all through his movement.”

Previously, he has been in a show at BPHS where he was the raccoon in “Cinderella” his junior year. He also was on stage crew for “Guys and Dolls” his freshman year.

Brusoski is a member of Top 21, symphonic band, jazz ensemble, and marching band.

Brusoski and Tietz are both excited to play Lurch in the spring.
