Meet Gomez Addams

Gomez Addams is the husband of Morticia Addams and the father of Wednesday and Pugsley Addams. He takes great pride in his family and what it means to be an Addams. He attempts to keep everyone in his family content and happy. His wife, Morticia, and daughter, Wednesday, are both valuable to him which ends up starting conflict when Wednesday requests he keep a secret from Morticia.

Gomez will be played by junior Noah Stiglich and senior Nick Dell.

When asked about his feelings on the show and the character, Stiglich said: “I think this is a great choice for the amount of talent we have at Bethel Park High School… I am more than excited to play Gomez Addams this year, not only because I think

he is going to be a lot of fun, but also because this is great for Hispanic representation….I have never got the opportunity to play someone who is the same ethnicity as me.”

This is Stiglich’s third show at BPHS. He played both Carl and Dan, Logainne’s dads, in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” his freshman year and Jean-Michel in “Cinderella” his sophomore year.

“My experience in these musicals has been amazing and every single year gets better and better in so many aspects. I have made so many friends from doing musicals here as well as countless memories that I will never forget,” Stiglich said.

When asked to explain the character, Dell said: “Gomez is a highly eccentric character. He embodies the concept of a Latin lover. He’s a family man and is desperately devoted to his wife, Morticia, whom he is constantly showering with affection.”

This will be Dell’s fourth show at BPHS. In previous years he has played Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls his freshman year, Chip Tolentino in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” his sophomore year, and Prince Topher in Cinderella his junior year.

“I’ve been privileged to perform alongside extremely talented people in each year I’ve done the musical…. it is always worth the time and effort you put into it when you see it all come together,” Dell said.

Along with participating in musicals, Dell and Stiglich both are members of Top 21 at BPHS.

Both Dell and Stiglich are thrilled to play Gomez Addams in the spring.
