My top 10 Christmas songs

As the holiday season approaches, it’s that time of year where you hear Christmas songs everywhere you go. In public or in the car, you want to get into the holiday spirit. Throughout the wide variety of Christmas music, I have narrowed it down to my top ten songs.

10. Winter Wonderland

As with all these songs on the list, there are many remixes and variations. The most recent version of “Winter Wonderland” is by Michael Buble. Everyone loves the classics.

9. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

The classical Christmas movie created a classical song. It’s a catchy song whose lyrics are known worldwide.

8. Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

Everyone wants a white Christmas. The winter-themed anthem gives people hope of waking up to snow-covered roads and yards on Christmas morning.

7. Happy Holiday / The Holiday Season

Another classic by Andy Williams you will hear everywhere you go. The catchy tune will get stuck in your head.

6. 12 Days of Christmas

Arguably the most famous Christmas song is also the most redone song. Singers and even rappers like Snoop Dog made their own versions of the “12 days of Christmas.” The mainstream classic most people listen to is by Dinah Shore, even though the “12 Days of Christmas” has been around since the 16th century.

5. Frosty the Snowman

Another Christmas time movie has another great song. The walking and talking snowman needs his theme song to get into the holiday celebration.

4. Jingle Bells / Jingle Bell Rock

As both songs are extremely popular, I had to include both the classic and modern-day alternate rock version.

3. Most Wonderful Time of the year

Another song from Andy Williams is an all-time favorite.

2. Last Christmas

Released in 1986 the pop song is one of the all-time favorites. Made by the musical group “Wham!”.

1. All I want for Christmas is You

My favorite Christmas song is “All I want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey.
