‘Curtains’ opens at BPHS on March 2
The BPHS music department will produce the Tony Award Winning Musical, Curtains, in the high school auditorium, March 2-5.
Two participants in the fall play, Alexandria Zallo and Cody Shetter, share their participation in the musical.
Junior, Alexandria Zallo, has always loved performing in plays and musicals. She said: “Honestly, I just really love performing! There is no better feeling than being on stage!” She loves performing so much, that she has been in multiple musicals. Even some that haven’t been hosted by BPHS!
In addition to Bethel Park productions, Zallo has also performed in the Pittsburgh Musical Theater production of Oliver! this past October.
Senior Cody Shetter is once again participating in the BPHS musical after receiving major roles in the musical in the past. Most recently, Shetter has graced the BPHS stage in the fall production of Robin Hood, in which he played the title role, and in last year’s musical, West Side Story, in which he played the role of Riff.
Shetter’s favorite music genres, he said, have greatly influenced the way he sings. Some of his favorite bands, for example, Linkin Park and Avenged Sevenfold, have inspired Cody, as well as Broadway show tunes.
So come out and see Zallo, Shetter, and the rest of the Curtains cast on March 2-5.
