The girls flag football team has gone undefeated, making their record 2-0. The team’s first game against South Fayette on March 18 earned an impressive 27-0 victory.
Junior captain Kenley Crawford led the Hawks in two touchdowns and two extra points.
In the team’s second game against Uniontown on March 20, the Hawks dominated with a 52-0 victory.
Junior Daphne Mach led the Hawks to victory with two touchdowns, one extra point, one pick-six, and one interception.
“I think our mindset is to push ourselves for the win and to stay positive no matter what,” junior captain Lily Yester said. “They are a good team, but so are we, and we have spent this past week working really hard in practice. We know our game plan, and now we just have to go out there and do the best we can.”
Their next game will be on March 26 at Mount Lebo.
