Athlete Spotlight: Sebastian Schein
Sebastian Schein is a senior at BPHS and participates in varsity baseball for the Hawks. During the fall, you can catch him in the classroom, and in the spring, you can see him on the mound, pitching.
On Wednesday, March 22, Schein closed out the season opener against Canon-Mac, putting up three scoreless innings and recording the win.
Sebastian is a very charismatic student who loves to be around people. He is a tall right-handed pitcher for the Hawks, and he also plays second base. During the summer, he plays for the South Hills Baseball Club, his AAU team.
Schein is tied for the youngest of Marc and Karin with his twin sister Cecelia. He also has an older brother named Fred.
So far this season, Sebastian is 1-0 through three innings pitched with a 0.00 ERA
Senior Star pitcher Evan Holewinski had this to say about Sebastian: “We have been great friends since 9u on and off the field. There’s no one like him, great overall player and guy. Excited to see how he does this season.”
Schein’s favorite part about playing for the Hawks is the relationships that he’s built on the field and maintained off the field.
The young right-handed pitcher has a very bright future.
