After their 20-point loss to Baldwin at home on Jan. 18, the boys basketball team has won three games in a row including a big section win against Peters Township last Friday. Currently sitting at 4-2 and tied for first in the section, the Hawks look to go 2-0 against two section teams this week.

On Friday, the boys faced off against Peters Township (6-10, 1-5) at home and it was the Hawks’ senior night. The boys also looked to go 2-0 against Peters on the year.

“We aren’t letting them come into our house, on our senior night, and win,” said senior Robbie Abraham.

The boys spoke it into existence holding off the Indians 53-47. Senior Dolan Waldo had an incredible standout game with 27 points and 15 rebounds. He was an all-out menace defensively.

This win makes three straight for the Hawks after dominant wins against Ringgold and Trinity.

JV looks for a bounce-back win after a 20-point loss to Peters.

Fan-favorite Andrew Polosky said, “We need to hold our heads high and get the victory next week.”

The Hawks look to get two section wins this week to greater their chances at a section title on Tuesday at Canon-Mac (10-6, 2-4) and Friday at Upper Saint Clair (11-5, 4-2).  The last time out, the Hawks beat Canon-Mac 37-34 and USC 48-44.
