The first part of the hockey season has flown by, and with that comes the annual PIHL All-Star Game. With so many of the Hawks contributing to the team’s success, it is difficult to name any individual all-stars.

However, PIHL had no problem naming six of the Hawks to the 2019 AAA All-Star game. The Hawks are one of two teams to send six players, which is no small feat considering there were teams sending as little as three players.

Among those named were: three-time veterans of the annual game, seniors JC Bele and Nick Guimond; two-time veteran, senior Vince Vituccio; and seniors Austin Read and Connor Price and junior Ryan McLinden, who are all making their first All-Star appearance.

When asked about the privilege of being named to the team, McLinden said, “It is truly humbling to be nominated with so many of my teammates, and I’m very excited to be able to attend this year.”

The AAA game is to be held Sunday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. This year’s game will be hosted at the RMU Island Sports Center.

Congratulations to all those selected on their impressive achievement, and best of luck in 2019 All-star game!
