EYES ON THE NET, Alex Mullen shoots a layup in the Hawks’ game against Steel Valley on Friday, Dec. 7.

On Friday, Dec. 14, the boys basketball team will face their first section foe of the year in Canon-McMillan.

The Black Hawks are currently 3-0, and they are looking to add a fourth win. The Big Macs are 1-2 and are desperate for a win.

When asked what is going to have to be done to walk away with a win against Canon-Mac, junior guard Ryan Meis said, “We just have to play as a team.”

In addition to the game, there will also be the Athletic Hall of Fame induction at halftime. There are seven inductees that are getting the honor of being placed in the Hall of Fame. These honorees include: Raymond Bedner (Class of 1995) for baseball and football; Nick Bonaccorsi (Class of 2011) for wrestling; Dean Gabey (Class of 1986) for football and baseball; Lyle Marsh (Class of 2009) for football and track; Ulysses Scott (Class of 1991) for football and track; Don Smith (Class of 1955) for football, baseball and basketball; and Jim Sprandle (Swimming Coach). Their full bios can be found here.

Come out and support the Hawks as they take on the Big Macs at The Nest at 7:30 p.m.
