Lady Hawks defeat Titans on the road

Tuesday night, the Lady Hawks basketball team hit the road for their first away game of the season. The Lady Hawks traveled to Shaler where they took on the Titans. Defeating the Titans, 67-36, the Lady Hawks went home with their third win of the season.

The leading scorers were sophomore guard Olivia Westphal with 21 points, junior forward Maddie Dziezgowski with 16 points, and freshman small forward Emma Dziezgowski with 10 points.

When asked about what contributed the most to the 31-point win, Olivia Westphal said, “We shared the ball very well and started hitting our shots in the second half.”

The Lady Hawks are back on the road Thursday night when they play at Hempfield High School at 7:30 p.m. for their first section game of the season.
