Lady hawks crack the curse at Lebo

After 15 long years, the Lady Hawks finally beat the Blue Devils in their own den.

The final score was 49-38.

The Lady Hawks led the Lady Blue Devils at the end of the first quarter 11-7. They extended their lead to 21-13 at half, then held onto their lead at the end of the third quarter.

The high scorers were junior guard Maria Cerro with 19 and freshman shooting guard Olivia Westphal.

“It feels good to finally win at Lebo, “said Cerro.

They improved their record to 6-2 in the section and now firmly stand in 2nd place. They play struggling Canon Mac (2-6) on Thursday at the Nest.

They close out their section play next Monday at Baldwin (0-8).
