The end of the school year is approaching really fast. A common event in schools this time of the year is yearbook signing day, which is a key part of the end-of-year festivities. Schools hold a specific day to mingle with your peers and gather up some yearbook signatures.
However, at BPHS, the yearbooks aren’t distributed until July, so it seems our yearbooks go unsigned. While you can still get some signatures over the summer, it can be a burden to meet up with people and have them sign your yearbook.
To allow students to sign yearbooks while still in school, this year, Jostens, the manufacturer of our yearbooks, is giving every student who purchased a yearbook a complimentary signing booklet. Now you can get signatures from your friends before the school year ends!
The booklet consists of four blank pages, so students will not run out of space, even if they get some long messages. After students have gotten all the signatures they want, they can hold onto their pages until you are able to pick up their yearbooks this summer. They can then use the sticky application side to stick the pages into the yearbook, ensuring that they won’t fall out.
The yearbook staff is currently working hard to ensure that everyone who purchased a yearbook receives their signature page. They are being distributed by homeroom, so expect to receive them in the morning. Some homerooms have already received their pages to distribute, and others are still being sorted through.
Students who did not receive a signing booklet but believe they should have can email yearbook adviser Mr. Allemang ([email protected]).
And do not forget! Just because it’s close to the end of the year, that doesn’t mean that students still can’t order their yearbooks.
