Bethel Park Marching Band to host its 53rd Annual Band Festival
Being involved in clubs and activities in high school is an interesting experience because when you’re a senior, you realize that all of these thrilling experiences will come to an end.
Senior Bethette Angelina Magnotti has a case of this senioritis over her last marching band season. When asked if she was excited to perform in the upcoming band festival, she said, “Yes, because it’s my last one.” This is probably how most of the seniors feel.
After a year hiatus due to COVID-19, Bethel Park Marching Band will host its 53rd annual band festival. The Band Festival will take place on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m in the stadium.
Five schools will be attending the band festival: Avella, Belle Vernon, Blackhawk, Robert Morris University, and South Fayette.
Bethel Park Marching Band will perform pre-game and their halftime show including their opener, “Karn Evil 9,” “Captain America” featuring the Bethettes, and “Avengers” featuring the Majorettes. They will also play “Hot Time/ Bethel Victory,” a song that has been played for over 50 years.
Along with the marching bands, Top 21, under the direction of Mr. Todd Kuczawa, will perform, singing “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Following intermission, Bethel Park’s drumline will perform its cadence feature.
At the band festival, along with bands, there will be food. There will be a bake sale, Wild River kettle corn, and a concession stand. At the concession stand, there will be burgers, hot dogs, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, hot cocoa, and much more.
Candy grams to send to your favorite band members along with Bethel Park Music merchandise will be sold.
Come support the marching bands at The 53rd Annual Band Festival. Tickets will be available on Oct. 2 at the gate for $8.
