Students and staff are encouraged to celebrate National Corduroy Day

Students and staff are encouraged to wear corduroy on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Mr. Hooton, the ceramics and sculpture teacher, said, “It’s November 11, 11/11, and what looks more like corduroy than that day?”

When asked why the students and staff should wear corduroy on the 11th, he said, “Well..first of all, it is Veteran’s Day, so I would focus more on red, white and blue, to honor our Veterans.

“But if students want to go beyond Veteran’s Day, [they] can go to corduroy.”

When asked if he will be wearing corduroy on Wednesday, Mr. Hooton said, “That is my plan!”

“I plan to wear my corduroy sport coat with the elbow patches,” English teacher Mr. Allemang said.

“I encourage students to wear corduroy all the time, tomorrow especially, unless it’s Veterans day, which is more important,” Mr. Hooton added.
