Interact hosts shoe drive

The Interact Club will be collecting shoes to donate to Nicaragua again. There are boxes in the rotundas on the second, third, and fourth floors, and in the lobby. They will be collecting shoes through Wednesday.

Interact club is the community service club here at BPHS. The advisor is Mr. Kallis, and the president of the club is senior Tabby Swanson.

When Swanson was asked why they collect shoes for children in Nicaragua, she said: “The reason we do this shoe drive is for a school in Nicaragua. They have a rule where children are not allowed to attend school without shoes. Interact loves being able to make a difference in these children’s lives, and help them have a brighter future!”

Last year, the club was able to collect over 200 pairs of shoes.

There are flyers hanging up about this drive if you have any questions.  Donate shoes to benefit a great cause.
