The 1975 defining legendary
On December 15, 2014, The 1975 preformed a show in Pittsburgh’s Stage AE, leaving a large impact on many BPHS students’ lives.
The day of the concert, many BPHS students rushed out of the school, ready to camp out in line for good spots in the crowd.
By the end of the concert, Instagram was loaded with videos and photos of Matthew Healy’s band and their iconic glowing square logos. The boys put on a fantastic show, blowing away every single person in the crowd.
The following day of the concert, many students attended school wearing concert T-shirts with the band’s name and tour dates on the back. The main topics of conversation that day were how good they looked, how close to the stage everyone seemed to be, and that one time he sang that one lyric.
Many agree that their best performance of the night was their hit song “Robbers,” and fans who knew of the song “Milk” praised it. The experience of the concert is noted as “gorgeous, fatal, and tear worthy, all in one.”
Healy stated that the band would return next October to promote their upcoming album. The title has yet to be released.
The 1975 is still buzzing around in conversations of BPHS students, and until next year, all we’ll be hearing about is that one time he sang that one lyric.
