Preschoolers trick-or-treat around the school
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, the preschoolers from the Early Learning Center (ELC) showed BPHS their creative costumes as they went trick-or-treating around the first and second floors.
The ELC is located on the first floor. Mrs. Dzanaj and Mrs. Chapin are the teachers of the classes, and students who take the child development classes work in the preschool.
For Halloween, the preschoolers put on their costumes and collected treats from teachers.
The high school students in 4th Period Child Development III walked around with the four-year-olds while the Child Development I students in Period 8 went trick-or-treating with the three-year-olds.
The preschoolers had many interesting costumes including a Power Ranger, a firefighter, and Cinderella, but the most popular costume was Elsa from Frozen.
The kids received a plethora of fun treats! They got healthy snacks, crayons, and toys. Mr. Short, Ms. Falce, Ms. Findlay, Mr. Hooton, and many other teachers passed these out.
Not only is this day fun for the preschoolers, but it is also fun for the child development students. One of the students is Halle Hammer, who is in Child Development III.
When asked what her favorite part about preschool trick-or-treating was, she said, “Walking around with them and seeing how happy and excited they were.”
When asked what her favorite costume was, Hammer said, “The butterfly Aubrey wore because it was really cute.”
It was a fun-filled day for the kids that got them excited to wear their costumes again on Halloween. This is a day that they have been looking forward to since the first day of preschool.
Now, they will be counting down the days until Santa comes during the Christmas season!
