Last night, The Tonight Show went back to New York with new host Jimmy Fallon.
The Tonight Show former host Jay Leno ended on a good note. He had his first guest be his last guest, Billy Crystal. Country singer Garth Brooks was also a guest, and some other celebrity guests popped in and out to say goodbye to the 22-year host.
Jimmy Fallon ended up in this position because of a popular TV comedy show Saturday Night Live, where he did impressions of different celebrities and he also did impressions of musical groups too. After that, he moved up to becoming the host of Late Night. He was the host on Late Night for five years. Last night, a new chapter began in The Tonight Show history.
Jimmy Fallon has done many different things on his show, and he has had many different musical guests. He plays games with his guests, and he also raps, signs, and is a comedian. He has done many different things with his guests, including Justin Timberlake. He has done an evolution of rap, and he has done a #hashtag song and impressions.
He has done many different things with his band The Roots; he has done videos with singers Robin Thicke and Carly Rae Jepsen and with children classroom instruments. Also, every week he does a hashtag for people to Tweet to, such as #MyDumbInjury and #ThanksgivingFail.
Fallon has cracked eggs on his guests head, and he also has had audience members spin a wheel of carpet samples, and has a sketch where people are only allowed to use fake arms.
He has had President Obama sing with The Roots, and Michelle Obama has done an evolution of mom dancing.
He has even had Betty White play beer pong with him.
His guests last night included Jerry Seinfeld, Kristen Wiig, and musical guest Lady Gaga.
On Wednesday, Bradley Cooper, and musical guest Tim McGraw will visit the show.
On Thursday, First Lady Michelle Obama, Will Farrell, and musical guest Arcade Fire will pay a visit.
Justin Timberlake will be on the show on Friday.
Jimmy Fallon has done many different things on his shows. Hopefully, he will be able to continue the legacy of The Tonight Show but with his Fallon flair.
