Holy cow! Now that’s a hard job

Zoe Zilcosky and the Chick-Fil-A Cow

Being the Chick-Fil-A Cow is a harder job than one might think.

Can you imagine walking around in that costume for multiple hours drenched in sweat, not being able to speak, and constantly having to interact with meddling children?

I recently was eating at a Chick-Fil-A while the Cow was working. Two little girls were chasing the Cow around, lifting up her/his dress, and pinching her/his butt. The Cow could not say stop and just had to deal with the abuse. When the Cow came over to my table, my friend, Cameron Happe, and I told the Cow we saw what happened and he/she should swing next time those kids bother him/her. The Cow just laughed, but we knew the cow was hurting.

I asked Cameron Happe what she thought about the Chick-Fil-A Cow. The subject said she “is an open book.”

When asked if she believes the Chick-Fil-A Cow is the hardest job, Happe said, “I think the Cow is a really tough job because it’s really smelly and sweaty in there and I believe they should be paid more than police officers and lawyers.”

So, the next time you are in a Chick-Fil-A while the Cow is working, salute him/her because he/she is serving our country.
