Luke Surunis begins road to rugby
Football and track star Luke Surunis is putting down the football and javelin and picking up the rugby ball. Surunis is going to Slippery Rock University this coming fall and hopes to be the school’s top rugby star.
He had a great athletic year. His football year was his most successful due to the most opportunities he was given. He had over 600 rushing yards, over 100 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.
He also qualified for WPIALs for track. His longest javelin throw was 155 feet.
