Ways to avoid school stress
School can be very stressful with assignments, tests, and due dates. I will give you some tips on how you can avoid getting stressed out.
- Go for a walk or a bike ride. This is the best way to avoid stress and anger because exercise releases brain chemicals like dopamine that boost your mood.
- Write down assignments to keep track of what you have to do for that day. Unless you have a really good memory, I recommend writing things down or putting what you have to do in the notes app or memo pad on your phone.
- Don’t focus on grades. What most people consider good grades are A’s and B’s; however, if you are consistently getting D’s, you actually have nothing to worry about. Everyone has a different intelligence level and that’s okay. Don’t overwork your brain to get A’s B’s, and C’s if you do not get them regularly because technically you are still able to pass if you get a D in the class. I am not promoting bad grades, I am just saying.
- Find a quiet place to study. Avoid TVs, cell phones, windows, and people talking. A silent room to study in will 100% guarantee you to get good grades on any test.
- Always save study guides all year. There may be finals towards the end of the year, so it is good to save papers just in case.
