Vernor Winfield McBriare Smith IV, aka Mac DeMarco, is a 24-year-old male solo artist that was born and raised in our neighboring country, Canada.
DeMarco’s career all started in high school, when he sang between three bands. Once the high school days were gone, DeMarco moved to Vancouver, where he released his first, self-produced album called Heat Wave. The album successfully sold out.
He was later signed off to Unfamiliar Records, and began to tour with a Vancouver band named Japandroids.
After this, DeMarco struggled a bit with his music career. Later on, he joined a new record label (Captured Tracks) and released a great EP, Rock and Roll Nightclub, which received fantastic feedback. Because of this, his new label decided to support a full-length album.
