Student Musician of the Week: Peyton Capristo
Seventeen-year-old junior Peyton Capristo plays the tuba, ukelele, and sings.
He got involved with music in the fourth grade.
“Ever since then I knew that music was something special that I wanted to be a part of,” Capristo said.
He plans to go on to college for a degree in a field of science, but he hopes to keep music a part of his life whether it be working in a studio or performing in a group.
Capristo is involved in Concert Choir, Top 21, and marching band, and has taken the music technology courses and music theory at the high school. He was the tuba squad leader this past marching band season.
He has participated in our school’s musicals since his freshman year, when he played a storyteller in Children of Eden. His sophomore year he played Chino and Pepe in West Side Story, and this year he played Harv Freemont in Curtains.
Capristo gets his musical inspiration from his teachers and his friends.
