The ideal student, the ideal friend, Weeam Boumaza, encaptures what it means to be a Bethel Park Black Hawk.
Weeam Boumaza, in her junior year, is one of the most ambitious students at BPHS. She is in multiple AP and honors classes. Her favorite classes and AP Psychology, AP English, and Law & You. She is a chair of Community Service in PACS, a member of Forensics and DECA, and whilst accomplishing this, she still finds the time to find to play tennis and lacrosse after school.
Weeam moved to Bethel Park in seventh grade and has thrived ever since.
She started playing lacrosse in middle school.
“Lacrosse is the best way to make friends… It really taught me discipline, and how to work as a team.”
Outside of school activities, Weeam can be found watching “Euphoria” or “The Simpsons,” as they are her favorite shows.
As Weeam looks ahead to the future, she hopes to go to Pitt and pursue law, and later work at a law firm where she can advocate for people who don’t have a voice.
“I want people to learn the impact of helping others and spreading kindness.”
