Why does “The Hoagie” wake up every morning with the determination to conquer Mt. Everest? Why does he wake up with a glaring smile on his face every single day?
The answer is simple. Michael Vogel, a 17 year-old Senior at Bethel Park High School, is a man of many talents, interests, and ambitions. He is an outgoing, yet respectable person in the eyes of his peers. His drive for success and personal-achievement places him in an elite category. One in which only the most driven, self-motivated students are placed.
Vogel has had a burning passion for his girlfriend Alyssa since their eyes romantically crossed paths during their first year of Middle School. The love has never died. Additionally, his infatuation for making people laugh and smile maintains his motivation and charisma on a daily basis. When asked to describe himself in three words, he said enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working.
On a more general note, Vogel enjoys simple things that make him happy. He hangs out with friends, wrestles, attends various Bethel Park sporting events, and listens to music. Journalism with Mr. Allemang is the brightest spot in his day at school. Currently, to produce a steady income, he dishwashes at an exclusive restaurant in Peters Township called Table.
For his future plans, Vogel is striving to attend California University of Pennsylvania, where he will possibly study to become a Police Officer, just like his loving father. As of now, though, he is undecided for a major.
Whether he is making his peers smile, being a reliable friend, or viciously double-legging his opponent to the mat, one thing is certain, Michael Vogel is a man, a man who everyone should strive to imitate and love for years to come.
