Congratulations to Coach Zehnder, the head coach of the varsity baseball team, as he has now reached a significant milestone.
On March 18, Zehnder secured not only the 99th, but also the 100th victory of his coaching career during a doubleheader at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach.
Quite the impressive feat considering the competition the team faced.
When asked what the accomplishment meant to him, Zehnder said: “Getting win #100 was a great feeling. Doing it down in Myrtle Beach with the team, coaches, and parents around me made it extra special.”
Strong words that not only showed how Zehnder felt regarding his 100th win, but also put his passion for the team on display for the world to see.
That sentiment was further emphasized when Zehnder said, “I consider myself fortunate to be the current coach, and work every day to try to uphold the standard of excellence on and off the field that the players and coaches before us have established.”
Yet, with his 100th win under his belt, Zehnder’s journey is far from over.
In fact, Bethel Park’s season is upon us as the Hawks look to take the diamond against neighboring rival Upper St. Clair this week.
Whether you find him on the field or in the classroom as a math and special education teacher, be sure to congratulate Zehnder.
Stay tuned for what the baseball team under Zehnder’s watch will accomplish this season.
