The varsity boys basketball team played in its final game of the season on Feb. 6, an 84-57 loss to Peters Township.
“We came out and did our best to run plays and get open buckets. Also, to stop them from getting easy transition buckets,” said 6-foot-2 guard, senior Owen Turoski (No. 3).
The starting lineup included Turoski; 5-foot-6, point guard, senior Will Thomas (No. 2); 6-foot-1, guard, senior Owen Turoski (No. 3); 6-foot-3 forward, senior Mike Bruckner (No. 20); 5-foot-11 forward, junior Brady Bruckner (No. 00); and forward, 6-foot-2 senior Jovian Smith (No. 1).
“The biggest challenge the team faced was injuries. We kept positive and persistent and worked with what we had. We came together as a team and played as a family,” said Turoski.
The Hawks’ season was highlighted by a 49-43 win over Baldwin on Jan. 9.
They also won on their senior night against Ringgold.
