There will be an ultimate frisbee meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2:30 p.m. in the cafeteria for anyone interested in joining the team.
It’s a 7-on-7 sport in which you advance by throwing the frisbee to a teammate. You score a point when you complete a pass in your opponent’s end zone. The game is moved at a fast pace, played on a football field, and is non-contact.
The head coach of Renedage is Phil Becker and the team captains are Parker Walton, Nathan George, and Wyatt Sodini.
Practices, which consist of drills, scrimmaging, and some conditioning, are on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:30 p.m. held at the turf fields, grass fields adjacent to the school, or Village Green (Moury Park).
Games are home and away. School buses don’t transport the students. The schedule isn’t out yet but some of the schools they play are South Fayette, Peters, and Mt. Lebo.
“Joining the team was one of the best decisions of my life. I highly recommend anyone who’s interested come out and give us a chance, you’ll be amazed how quickly you become hooked!” Walton said.
See you there!
