After an exciting section tournament that featured both Bethel Park girls tennis teams in the finals, the brackets have been released for the WPIAL doubles tournament, which begins Wednesday at North Allegheny High School.

The dynamic duo of Cami Fisher and Lily Sierka earned the No. 2 seed. They face No. 15 Gabrielle Moder and Olivia Garofola from Baldwin in the first round. The winner will match up with either No. 7 Lucy Zheng and Makinzie Marcus from Franklin Regional or No. 10 Ria Khazanchi and Keira Wise from Moon.

On the top side of the bracket, No. 5 Katie Peterson and Emma Smith will face No. 12 Sienna Siegel and Anna Kintner of Fox Chapel in the first round. The winner will play either No. 4 Ellen Liu and Michelle Yan of Franklin Regional or No. 13 Deeya Nayyar and Rachel Smith of Pine-Richland.

The No. 1 seed is the pair from Shady Side Academy, Elana Sabol and Rachel Nath.

The first round through the semifinals round will be played on Wednesday beginning at 10:30 a.m., while the finals and consolation finals will be played at 1 p.m. on Thursday, also at North Allegheny. The top three teams qualify for the PIAA tournament.
