The fans wore green in support of suicide prevention and mental health awareness at Upper St. Clair Stadium Wednesday night as the Lady Hawks soccer team faced the Lady Panthers in their first meeting of the season.
At the end of the night, the Lady Hawks were shut out 2-0, but both teams put on a first-class performance.
At halftime, the score was tied at 0, but Upper St. Clair went ahead 1-0 in the second half and didn’t look back.
The girls will have an opportunity to get revenge against the Panthers on Oct. 9 at home.
Next up, though, is a home matchup with Canon-Mac on Monday, Sept. 18.
Right now, the Lady Hawks stand at 3-2 in their section and 4-2-1 overall.
