Girls basketball team begins summer league play
The girls basketball team began their summer training on May 1. The girls are looking to come back harder and stronger than last year.
The Lady Hawks will be starting their summer league on Tuesday, May 21. They will hold games every Tuesday and Thursday from 6- 9 p.m. Lebo, Norwin, Albert Gallatin, USC, Trinity, Wash High, Thomas Jefferson, Chartiers Valley, South Fayette, Oakland Catholic, and Belle Vernon will all be participating in the league.
Junior, almost senior, point guard Lauren Mullen stated, “It’s always fun to play alongside these girls. It’s only been a few months since we all played together, but I’m excited to begin our summer play with them.”
The Lady Hawks are hosting this summer league in order to help fundraise for their winter trip to D.C. this upcoming holiday season.
Good luck to the Lady Hawks as they begin their pre-season play.
