Pens joust with Jets Friday night in Pittsburgh

After an impressive 7-2 win against the New York Rangers on Wednesday night, the 5X time Stanley Cup Champions Pittsburgh Penguins face off against the Winnipeg Jets Friday night at 7 p.m. at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

After a impressive 4-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers on New Year’s Eve, the Winnipeg Jets face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night.

After a matchup with the Penguins on Friday night, the Jets will come back to Winnipeg for a brief two-game home stand with matchups with the Dallas Stars on Sunday night and the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

The Jets are 25-12-2 and are in first place in the Central Division.

The Penguins just finished up a three-game road trip that ended with the 7-2 thrashing of the New York Rangers on Wednesday night, and now the Pens come back to PPG Paints arena for a three-game home stand that begins with the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night, Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night, and Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.

The Penguins are 22-12-6 and are in second place, one point behind the Washington Capitals, in the Metropolitan Division.

When Friday night comes around, the Penguins and Jets will meet for the final time this season. These two teams last played in Winnipeg where the Penguins defeated the Jets by the score of 4-3.

It should be an entertaining game on Friday night in Pittsburgh as the Penguins are looking to extend their wining streak to eight games.
