THE FAB FOUR enjoying the break in the action during their Tip-Off game against Steel Valley on Friday, Dec. 7.

After starting 3-18 from the field to start the game, the Hawks turned it around to get a big road win at Trinity Tuesday night. With that win, the Hawks move to 3-0 on the year.

The Hawks’ win stopped a two-game skid against Trinity in the last two seasons.

Trailing 34-29 heading into the second half, junior guard Tommy DiRienzo came out and drilled a three to get the second half offense rolling. DiRienzo had 24 points for the game, including six three-pointers.

When asked about the turnaround, senior Alex Mullen said: “The tide really turned coming out in the second half. We really took the energy out of the home crowd.”

Mullen added 16 points and junior Ryan Meis had 25.

The Hawks are back home on Friday for the section opener against rival Canon-Mac.

“We’ve had this game circled on the calendar ever since the schedules came out,” said junior Anthony Chiccitt.
