There must be something in the water here at BPHS for all Spring Sports teams have qualified for the playoffs.

Here’s a glance of the who, what, when, and where of their first-round playoff matchups. Come out and support the Hawks in their postseason flight.

Girls’ softball

The Lady Hawks will face the North Hills Indians on Monday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at N. Allegheny High School.

Girls’ lacrosse

The Lady Hawks will take on the Norwin Knights at Norwin on Monday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Boys’ baseball

They tied for 2nd place in their section and have earned a playoff position in the 1st Round of the WPIAL playoffs against Shaler. The team will travel to Burkett Park Field for a game on Tuesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. Burkett Field is located at 5515 Moon Run Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.

Boys’ lacrosse

They won their 1st ever Section Championship! They will meet Fox Chapel in the 1st round of the WPIAL Playoffs on Tuesday, May 16 at 8 p.m. at BPHS Stadium.

Boys’ volleyball

They were undefeated and the section champs! They have one regular season game left before the playoffs, and it’s against Ambridge at Ambridge on Tuesday, May 16 at 3:30 p.m.

They will have a bye in the 1st round of the WPIAL playoffs.  Advancing to the WPIAL Qtr. Final round, they will meet the winner of the Shaler/Latrobe game on Thursday, May 18 at Penn Trafford High School at 6 p.m.

  • Girls 4 x 800m Sydney Burns, Patra Hsu, Lilly Zeminski, and Hannah Crawford
  • Pole Vault- Becca Libbel, Maddie Warner and Katherine Kimes
  • Shot Put and Discus-Sarah Gilliam
  • 100m hurdles- Becca Libel

They will compete on Thursday, May 18 at 1 p.m. at Baldwin High School.
