Athlete of the Week: Zoe Zilcosky
This week’s Athlete of the Week is senior Zoe Zilcosky. She is a senior midfeilder on the BPHS girls’ lacrosse team.
Zilcosky’s first time picking up a stick was in the 6th grade. Her sister played before her, so she grew up around the sport.
“I was bad at every other sport,” Zilcosky said.
In 2017, she wants the team to go to playoffs, find a goalie, and have a good time. Personally, she wants to get swole, or in others words buff.
Next year, Zilcosky will be attending Duquesne. She doesn’t know if she’ll continue her lacrosse career in college. If she does, she will try to play on the school’s club team.
“I don’t think I will miss the sport. If anything I’ll miss playing with my friends.”
Zilcosky wants younger players to know if they work hard they will play hard.
If you or anyone you know is interested in trying girls’ lacrosse, you can find more info here or in the BPHS Athletic Office.
