The Bethel Park Black Hawks easily defeated the Pine-Richland Rams 4-0 Wednesday night in Penguins Cup semifinal action.
No goals were scored at all in the 1st or 2nd period, but in the 3rd, that would change.
Less than a minute into the 3rd, Chris Siak scored a power play giving the Black Hawks the 1-0 advantage. The goal was assisted by Jake Worcester and the captain, Derek Lesnak.
Just over 2 minutes into the 3rd, Worcester scored a goal which was assisted by Lesnak, pushing Bethel to a 2-0 lead.
Then, Siak strikes again with another goal assisted by Evan Oakley.
Finally, Worcester caps off the game with a power play goal assisted by Siak and Spencer Bawcom, prevailing Bethel Park to victory.
Tre Lowe has been on fire of lately and had another phenomenal performance, stopping 24 shots, earning him a shutout.
The Black Hawks look to capture the Penguins Cup against Section-1 rival, Peters Township, on Monday, March 17 at 9 p.m. at the CONSOL Energy Center.
