Coming home to Bethel Park on Saturday, Jan. 18, indoor track athletes had apparent smiles on their faces. The meet at Kent State University was a huge success for each person there.
Each athlete that went from Bethel had amazing times, distances, and heights and were proud of the effort they put forth on the track and field.
During the meet, the Black Hawks realized all of their hard work had paid off in the end.
Bethel had some great races there. Some of them include:
- Girls 4 x 800 relay with the time of 10:38.87
- Boys 4 x 800 relay with the time of 9:01.224
- Courtney Conway in the 400 with the time of 1:04.67
- Bridget Heh in the 800 with the time of 2:55.58
- Andrew Dougher in the 800 with the time of 2:10.56
- Danielle Hinish in the 3200 with the time of 12:35.53
- Eric Kaminski in the 3200 with the time of 10:44.16
- Girls 4 x 400 with the time of 4:28.76
All of these time and many more proved the great talent and hard work Bethel puts into their athletes.
Also, the Hawks not only competed in races, but also field events, such as shot put and high jump. Here are some of the results of these events:
- Paige Kochka-Pushkar in the girls high jump with the height of 5-00.00
- Sam Clark in the boys high jump with the height of 5-06.00
- Madison Gregg in the girls pole vault with the height of 8-06.00
- William Russel in the boys long jump with the jump of 17-10.00
- Jeremy Wodarek in the boys triple jump with the jump of 36-08.50
- Alexandra Stevenson in the girls shot put with the length of 36-07.00
These are just some of the athletes that participated in the invitational and had done great.
With all these times, Bethel athletes and coaches are excited to see what they can do in the future. This invitational not only is the beginning of the indoor track season, but the beginning of the Bethel Park Track & Field legacy.
