Starting at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, one of the winter’s most anticipated events kicked off, The Mountain Dew tour. Some of the world’s most elite skiers and snowboarders are invited to compete in two main events, Slopestyle and Superpipe.

The competition has two brackets, a men’s and a women’s division.

This year’s men’s freeski slopestyle competition is going to be an exciting one with multiple world class riders attending, such as Bobby Brown, Henrik Harlaut, Gus Kenworthy, and returning champion Tom Wallisch.

Last year, it was a very close competition, and this year, it should be even more thrilling with riders excelling and creating new and unique tricks the skiing-world has never seen.

This year, the Dew tour is taking place in Breckenridge, Colorado December 12-15. Most people around Bethel won’t be able to attend the event live, so you can also watch the event on NBC Sports Live, which is provided in the standard package from t.v. service providers.

This year’s tour is going to be an entertaining one, so be sure not to miss it.
