The Bethel Park Lady Hawks will advance to the A.J. Palumbo Center Saturday night at 7:00 PM to play in the WPIAL Championship against the Chartiers Valley Colts.
The Lady Hawks battled their way for a place in the Championship game by locking down on defense against the Gateway Gators at Keystone Oaks. The score steady at 36-28.
Harper Zimmer and Sami Simpson had the game highs with 11 points each.
Keep in mind, this will be the second time the Black Hawks advanced to the WPIAL Championship game since 2005, which ended with the loss to Oakland Catholic.
Meanwhile, around the same time at North Allegheny High School, the Chartiers Valley Colts were giving the No. 1 seeded Mt. Lebanon a hard time. The Colts pulled out with the win 31-27 and will play against the Hawks for the Quad A WPIAL Championship title.
Previously in the season, the Lady Hawks beat the Colts at Chartiers Valley 37-36 just barely slipping by with the win, and the second time, at home, the Hawks won 46-33.
It is clearly evident that the Lady Hawks will be tested Saturday night in a battle against a rival they know so well. Come show your support for the Hawks at the A.J. Palumbo Center at 7:00 PM! Go Hawks!
