The Boys and Girls Basketball teams look to come out with two victories Friday night in the double header game.
To start the double-header event, the Bethel Park girls will host Upper Saint Clair at 6:00 PM. Last time the Lady Hawks played the Panthers at USC, they simply outplayed the Panthers winning the game 59-29.
Now, the Lady Hawks are 12-1 overall in the section and 6-0 in the conference. The Panthers are unfortunately 8-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference. Recently, USC lost to their rival, Mt. Lebanon. Lebo outscored them 51-30 on Monday night. Furthermore, the Lady Hawks slipped away with a win against Baldwin earlier this week on Monday with the score at 44-39. Hopefully, the Lady Hawks, having home court advantage, can come out on top.
Afterwards, the Boys team will take the floor precisely at 7:30 PM facing Canon-McMillan. The Hawks pulled out a win against the Macs at Canon-McMillan 61-52 last time they came in contact and look to repeat this win for a second time.
The Black Hawks are 13-1 overall in the section and have a 7-0 record in the conference. The Macs are 8-7 overall while being 3-4 in the conference. Not to mention, earlier this week, the Black Hawks pulled out two wins against Baldwin on Tuesday night and Carrick on Wednesday night. Confidently, the Hawks expect to continue their winning streak and beat the Macs again.
Keep in mind, playing in the South Gym will be the JV teams. The Boys JV team will take the floor first at 6:00 PM, playing Canon-McMillan. After that, the Girls JV team plays against USC at 7:30 PM.
The Lady Hawks and the Black Hawks look to keep their winning streak alive this Friday night. If both the Boys and Girls teams can start out strong and get up early on their opponents, then coming out with two victories will be in their futures. Come out and support the Hawks!
