Earlier this week, the 2026 FCCLA State Leadership Conference was held at the Kalahari Resort and brought together students from all over the state.
In said event, four BPHS students truly stood out.
Caitlin Foote won a bronze medal in the Focus on Children event, alongside the team of Ella Dolman and Audrey Francis earned a silver medal in the Entrepreneurship contest.
Furthermore, Jackie Pivetz received a silver medal for her cake decorating skills.
In addition to her showing at the conference, Pivetz, a senior, also has her eyes set on her future, as she plans to attend IUP for culinary arts.
To assist in this, Pivetz was awarded a total of $2,500 in scholarships, which includes $500 from FCCLA’s Say Yes to FCS association and $2,000 from IUP’s Culinary, Baking, and Pastry program.
Other than student achievements, the BPHS FCCLA chapter advisor, Mrs. Veltri, officially celebrated ten years leading the club.
She was recognized at the conference for her contributions to the organization and its student members.
Nonetheless, it’s safe to say the 2026 FCCLA State Leadership Conference will go down as a success for BPHS.
With a promising future ahead, continued victories similar to those at this year’s conference will surely increase in the years to come.
