Donate coins to “Smiles From Sean”
Bethel Park seventh-grader Sean Rovers has been battling a rare brain cancer since he was 9 years old. Despite the immense challenges he has faced, Sean is still looking to help other children like him in his community.
He and his family started a nonprofit organization “Smiles From Sean” to provide hope for others in a situation similar to theirs.
The name comes from Sean’s incredible ability to keep smiling, even through multiple surgeries and weeks spent in the hospital.
Starting this week through May 27, the Interact Club here at BPHS is partnering with Smiles From Sean to raise money for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, the fundraising arm of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, via a coin drive.
Collection jugs are being kept in most classrooms, so be sure to check for them in your classes if you would like to donate your coins.
