Bethel goes big for blood drive
BPHS is once again hosting a blood drive, and this time it’s going to be huge!
This blood drive, schedule for Tuesday, March 6 from 8 a.m. to 1:15 pm., is very different from past events. PACS plans to have a raffle for all donors, a hot dog cookout, music, and a universal charging cable for all donors.
Donors will also be eligible to win a $50 gift card of their choice.
BPHS students can pick up the Blood Donor Forms in the BPHS Main Office prior to the day of the drive in order to register.
Students under 18 must have a parent’s permission to participate in the drive.
A representative of the blood drive also visited classes throughout the high school to distribute donor sign up forms.
Each year, 4.5 million Americans would die without blood transfusions and though approximately 38 percent of the national population is eligible to donate blood, annually less than 10 percent actually donates.
